Recreated from our client-side research. You are never told your proposal was hidden.

The problem

Your proposals aren't rejected.
They're hidden.

Upwork's AI now sorts every proposal before the client reads it. Anything it judges "less relevant" goes into a hidden "Other" list behind a small link. You still pay the Connects. You just never get seen.

What you get

The answers most freelancers never get

Six questions the report answers with real client-side data, and what to do about each one.

1

Why your proposals get zero views

Where proposals go on the client's screen, what pushes yours into the hidden list, and why you're never told.

2

Why your badge and reviews aren't helping

What the system checks before it ever looks at your Job Success Score, and why strong profiles still get hidden.

3

Why clients don't reply

What clients see side by side on the first screen, why generic and AI-written letters get skipped, and how to bid against the budget.

4

Why you're not invited to interviews

Why many clients hire from invites before opening proposals, and what makes a profile show up in their search.

5

Why you're not getting hired after a reply

How clients pick between finalists, what to say on the call, and how to answer "your price is high".

6

What to fix first, in what order

A step-by-step plan for the next 7 days, and a simple way to check whether it's working before you spend more Connects.

Common questions

How do I get the report after paying?

You pay through Stripe's secure checkout. Right after payment you're taken to a download page where you can save the PDF. Stripe also emails you a receipt.

Will this work for my category?

Yes. The ranking system is the same in every category. The report includes worked examples for web development, AI, design, video, marketing, writing and virtual assistance.

I'm new with no badge. Is it still useful?

Yes. One of the real examples inside is a Rising Talent profile that ranked above $200K+ earners because it matched the job better. The report shows how to build that kind of proof fast.

Is the research real?

Yes. We posted 85 real jobs on Upwork between June and September 2026 and reviewed 3,647 proposals from the client dashboard. The report also uses an earlier independent study by Ahmad Zabir (50 jobs, 3,147 proposals), a third-party dataset of 133,872 proposals from GigRadar, and Upwork's official documentation. Every number is labelled with its source.

Is this affiliated with Upwork?

No. This is an independent report by Upwork Growth Agency. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced with Upwork Inc. Upwork doesn't publish its ranking formula; the report's ranking observations are working models from our research.

Does it guarantee more views or hires?

No, and nobody honest can promise that. What you get is the clearest picture available of how clients see proposals in 2026, and a step-by-step system for fixing everything that's within your control.

Is this for beginners or experienced freelancers?

Both. If you're new, it helps you set up correctly from day one. If you're experienced, it explains why your visibility dropped and what to fix first.
